Ennio Morricone

Tribute to Ennio Morricone

Concert within the Parklife programme of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center

The concert will be held without the physical presence of an audience at the Stavros Niarchos Hall, and transmitted live at the Great Lawn of the Stavros Niarchos Park, with free entry, as well as online on the SNFCC website, Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Faithful to our autumnal get-together in the Garden of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, we turn our attention to the music of the internationally beloved Italian composer, Ennio Morricone, who recently passed away. Morricone had a gift for melody, but he went beyond that, extending the expressive potential of film music like few others and giving us masterful works that are as moving in the concert hall as they are in the cinema auditorium. The concert will feature music which the composer wrote between the Sixties and 2016.
