Greek Revolution - Camille Saint Saëns year
Co-production with Megaron - the Athens Concert Hall

In his first collaboration with the Athens State Orchestra, the Belarusian conductor Vyacheslav Volich, chief conductor of the Odessa National Opera, conducts Camille Saint-Saëns’ Third Symphony, getting underway a wide-ranging tribute to the great French composer in the centenary of his death. The concert begins with a new symphonic work by the prominent composer Dimitrios Skyllas which was inspired by the Dance of Zalongo, and continues with the great piano virtuoso Kyprianos Katsaris performing two dazzling, and spectacularly difficult, works by Franz Liszt.
