Brass Workshops
Seminars for brass layers of all levels and ages will be led once again this year by top Athens State Orchestra musicians at no cost to the participants. The Brass Workshop is staged with the support of, and in association with, the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
Leading musicians from the Athens State Orchestra brass section invite brass players of all ages and abilities to explore a different and extremely interactive way of studying music through group work and interaction with different instruments.
The collaboration between the Philippos Nakas Conservatory and the Athens State Orchestra started in the academic year 2012-2013 with the first cycle of Brass Workshops which led to the formation of ensembles and the presentation of their work in a gala concert staged at Megaron - the Athens Concert Hall in June 2013. It continues with the same enthusiasm and the same response by Musicians.
