BYZANTINE AND CHRISTIAN MUSEUM

Luigi Boccherini’s solemn Stabat Mater, which conveys in music the Virgin Mary's grief as Christ is crucified, and the heart-breaking Adagio by the American composer Samuel Barber may have been composed nearly two centuries apart, but both are ideal musical expressions of the contemplative spirit of Holy Week.

At 19:00, one hour prior to the concert, a free guided tour will be held for ticket holders to the temporary exhibition dedicated to the religious work of Polykleitos Regkos. The guided tour will be held by the Archeologist Periandros Epitropakis and the Historian Ioanna Alexandri.

Concession tickets are valid according to the Museum’s regulations.

The Museum can support at maximum 70 auditors. Thus, it is necessary to reserve a place.
