Symphonic Visual Soundtracks II
In the history of cultures, music and fine arts walk side by side, enrich one another, cooperate, compete, sometimes complete each other. This idea provided the opportunity for assignment of new compositions inspired by paintings. Dimitris Papadimitriou presented in March 2017 a symphonic piece entitled “Three Musical Soundtracks in three parts inspired by: George Iakovidis’s “Children’s Concert”, a cycle of paintings by the Impressionist Claude Monet and Jackson Pollock’s Pouring and Dripping technique.
During this concert, the composer will present in premiere a new symphonic work with more Musical Soundtracks from his journey through the different eras of the history of painting.
