Beethoven's Ninth Symphony

Festive concert under the auspices of the President of the European Commission  José Manuel Barroso, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Athens and the Cultural Foundation EUROPAMUSICALE on the occasion of the Greek Presidency of the E.U.

The Athens State Orchestra, in collaboration with the Cultural Foundation EUROPAMUSICALE, announces with great pleasure a festive concert on the occasion of the Greek Presidency of the European Union. Distinguished singers of international reputation and the excellent  Bamberg Symphony Choir combine forces with the Athens State Orchestra under the musical direction of Chief Conductor Vassilis Christopoulos, in order to present Beethoven’s magnificent Ninth Symphony, a symphonic masterpiece that represents the highest ideals of Humanity and Fraternity.
